Resident Partner/Caregiver

The Resident Partner collaborates with Assisted living nursing team and older adult individuals in developing and implementing a plan of services to provide personal and household assistance and find a personal and meaningful conversation to make a difference in each residents day.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with showers, skin care and perineal care.
  • Assisting with transfers in and out of bed
  • Assisting residents in self administration; staying with the resident, assuring that the medication has safely and completely been taken after it has been dispensed.
  • Taking and recording vital signs as needed, and reporting to nurse.
  • Assisting in promoting safety in the Assisted Living environment
  • Changing bed linens as necessary for resident comfort and cleanliness
  • Assisting in the preparation of simple meals/snacks, as necessary.
  • Escorting residents to various activities; such as meals, social, or doctor’s office
  • Taking part in social activities with residents

Qualifications:

  • CPR certification
  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Passion for working with older adults
  • Clear and courteous verbal communication with residents and families.
  • Strong time management and problem solving skills
  • Clear background check and drug screen

Life Enrichment Activity Assistant

The key function of the Activity Aide (Act A) is to work with the Activity Director and Assistant to implement an ongoing program of activities that are designed to meet the identified interests as well as meeting the physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of each patient or resident. The Activity Aide is expected to partner with other members of the team including, but not limited to Admissions, Nursing, Customer Service, Social Service and Dietary in order to promote and meet the psychosocial well-being of the patients, residents and their families. Promoting and developing positive peer relationships is an essential role function for the Activity Aide.

Responsibilities:

  • Update the Activities Bulletin Board sheets and provide them to the Nursing Station.
  • Prepare all the supplies required for scheduled activities.
  • Take pictures of residents participating in special activities.
  • Ensure that all eligible residents participate in the monthly birthday party.
  • Generate a newsletter and calendar for the Assisted Living.
  • Ensure family members receive updates and pictures of residents participating in
  • Organize performing arts presentations in music, dance and drama to present to residents in house.

Concierge/Receptionist

The receptionist is responsible for coverage of the reception office and phone system, they work as a member of the interdisciplinary team and interacts with the potential customers, current residents and their families, staff, physicians and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer multi line phone system and direct all calls to proper person / persons.
  • Be available to all residents and assist them with concerns, questions, etc.
  • Respond to emergency lights and contact appropriate staff.
  • Sign up residents for scheduled trips and Doctor Appointments
  • Maintaining Bus Driver schedule for deliveries, pickups, etc.
  • Mailing monthly billing statement requests
  • Sort all incoming mail for the Assisted Living Floor

Qualifications:

  • A high school degree or equivalent
  • Basic typing/computer skills.
  • Ability to effectively use standard office equipment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to promote a positive customer-focused approach both in-person and on the phone
  • Interest in working with the elderly and their families.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.

Licensed Practical Nurse

The Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.) supervises the nursing activities of his/her assigned team, organizes and delegates assignments based on census, acuity and staffing. The L.P.N. observes, evaluates and treats the physical, emotional, and social needs of the residents; collaborates with other team members in providing quality care to the residents.

Responsibilities:

  • Recognizes significant changes in resident conditions and takes necessary actions to treat and notify physicians.
  • Supervises the C.N.A. staff and delegates tasks for resident care.
  • Prepares and administers medication and prescribed treatments.
  • Ensures rehabilitative and restorative measures for all residents.
  • Attends and actively participates in care plan and stand up meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with Certified Pharmacology Course. Knowledge and understanding of the Nursing Process
  • Basic MDS knowledge.
  • Proper administration of medications and treatments.
  • Development of Interpersonal Relationship with Residents/Families
  • Good communication, supervision and leadership, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.

Housekeeper

The responsibility of the Housekeeper is to maintain the cleanliness of the entire building which includes Residents apartments and all common areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen – clean counter top, sink, top of stove and vent, outside of refrigerator and dishwasher, sweep and mop floor.
  • Bathroom(s) – clean toilet(s), bathtub, mirrors, light bulbs, sweep and mop floor, clean shower walls, wipe all baseboards.
  • Bedroom(s) – change bed linen and make bed, dust furniture and vacuum carpet, pick up dirty linen and return flat laundry 24 hour
  • Living Room – dust furniture and vacuum carpet, wipe all window
  • Garbage- Remove all garbage from apartment

Bus Driver

We are currently looking for a part time Bus Driver, The responsibility of the Bus Driver is to safely transport Lexington residents to and from scheduled appointments within a 5 mile radius of the building.  The Bus Driver also transports Lexington Residents on special trips scheduled by the Life Enrichment Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve bus and drive to the front of the building each morning
  • Assist passengers on and off the bus by using the step stool
  • Once passengers are on the bus, check that seat belts are properly fastened
  • Assist passengers with packages, walkers, etc

Qualifications:

  • DMV inquiry passed
  • Current valid license
  • Clear background check

Dining Room Server

The responsibility of the Wait Staff is to oversee day-to-day operation of all food delivery and service, regardless of dining venue. Demonstrate a commitment to resident satisfaction and positive resident relations during mealtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve resident meals.
  • Knowledge and be able to communicate menu items and answer specific questions about ingredients and preparation of all menu items.
  • Clear dishes when resident is ready and before next course.
  • Fill resident’s water glasses, serve beverages and bread as needed.
  • Keep the Dining Room clean as defined by Company standards.
